Sunrise HBM Horizontal Bender

The Sunrise HBM is a horizontal bending machine, or horizontal press brake, in which the punch is fixed on a one-piece machined table and a hydraulic die moves sideways into the work. Because the material can wrap fully around the fixed punch, it forms brackets, cleats, column boots, U-channels, closed boxes, 180 degree bends and pipe clamps that a vertical press brake cannot release. Two models, 45 and 82 tons, bend flat bar the easy way to 8 x 1/2 inch and 12 x 1/2 inch, bar on edge to 2 x 1/2 inch, and pipe to 2 inch Schedule 40. An OMRON touch-screen stores 50 programs and a Mitutoyo encoder holds stroke repeatability; optional punch, shear and straightening tooling and a CNC back gauge extend it beyond bending.
