Since 1985, Advance Machinery has been dedicated to helping fabricators, manufacturers, and steel processing companies succeed by providing industry-leading metal fabrication equipment backed by exceptional local service and support. Founded on a simple principle: provide customers with quality machinery, knowledgeable guidance, and dependable support long after the sale. Today, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do, with a team of 13 factory-trained service technicians serving customers throughout the nation on all Advance Cutting Systems cutting machines. In its early years, Advance Machinery quickly established itself as a trusted equipment supplier by forming strategic partnerships with some of the industry’s most respected manufacturers. In 1986, the company partnered with Comeq Inc to offer press brakes, plate rolls, and other fabrication equipment. This was followed by a partnership with Hydmech Bandsaws in 1988, expanding the company’s product offering and strengthening its position as a comprehensive machinery provider. As customer needs continued to evolve, Advance Machinery focused on bringing innovative fabrication technologies to the market while maintaining the personalized service that set the company apart.

A major milestone came in 1989 with the formation of Advance Cutting Systems, that same year, the company began selling its own ACS-branded, U.S.-built CNC plasma cutting systems. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Advance Machinery continued to grow through key partnerships and product innovations. In 1992, the company joined forces with Peddinghaus Corporation to provide multi-spindle drill lines, angle lines, plasma robots, and other structural steel fabrication solutions. The next chapter of the company’s growth began in 2000 when Ken Shannon Jr. and Tony Smith assumed leadership of Advance Machinery. Under their direction, the company expanded its product portfolio and strengthened its reputation throughout the Southeast with their existing lines. In 2003, Advance Machinery partnered with Ocean Machinery and help make the Avenger and Avenger Plus single spindle drill lines the industry leader that they are today, helping small to medium fabricators everywhere. In 2007, Advance Cutting Systems introduced the Jet-Master high-pressure waterjet cutting system, providing customers with advanced cutting capabilities across a wide range of materials. Additional partnerships followed, including Trilogy Machinery in 2009, DoALL Sawing Products in 2015, and Automated Layout Technologies in 2018 allowing the company to offer an even broader range of fabrication solutions. As fiber laser technology transformed the fabrication industry, Advance Machinery remained at the forefront of innovation. In 2018, the company introduced the ACS EVOLUTION Series Fiber Lasers to the U.S. market, giving customers access to high-performance laser cutting technology backed by local support. Building on that success, the ACS EVOLUTION II and III Fiber Laser Series were launched in 2021, delivering faster cutting speeds, increased productivity, and advanced automation options to meet the demands of modern manufacturers. Today, from plasma cutting systems and fiber lasers to press brakes, plate rolls, bandsaws, ironworkers, structural steel equipment, and more, we continue to provide complete fabrication solutions backed by experienced local service, technical support, training, and parts.
