Standard Industrial Corporation builds its AS-Series hydraulic shears entirely in Clarksdale, Mississippi, using a single-cylinder bellcrank true-guillotine design with A660 bronze bearings and non-proprietary Siemens and Vickers components. The shears are rated for 80,000 psi tensile plate and span capacities from 10 gauge to 1-1/2" in lengths from 6 to 22 feet, with a 4' squaring arm standard. Standard control is a Cybelec CNC storing 200 jobs that programs stroke length, back gauge position and X-retract, and on 1/2" and heavier machines also sets the infinitely variable power blade gap; variable rake is an option. A 36" ball-screw back gauge (48" on 5/8" and up) travels at up to 500 ipm with manual swing-away. Warranty is 5 years parts and 2 years CNC.
