The PeddiBlast is Peddinghaus's roller-conveyor shot blast machine, built with blast-equipment partners to clean mill scale, rust and debris from structural sections ahead of welding, priming or intumescent coatings. Four 20 HP turbines with replaceable manganese-steel blades spin at 3600 RPM and throw more than 550 pounds of shot per minute, and Peddinghaus quotes a pass speed of about 20 feet per minute. Beams can lie flat in the H position so several pieces run side by side. Material passes through a manganese-lined blast chamber on inverter-driven variable-speed rollers, then a rotating brush and blower remove residual abrasive. A wind separator, bucket elevator and shell valves recycle and meter shot, an automatic silo refills the circuit, and a 10-station filter unit handles dust without extra ducting. Sound-dampening roller doors and 18 access panels simplify operation and maintenance.
