Ocean Blaster
40” Structural Shot Blaster
The Ocean Blaster, built for Ocean by German manufacturer Agtos, is a compact pass-through shot blast machine for descaling and derusting structural steel before welding or painting. Four direct-drive 10 hp turbines throw round steel shot at roughly 290 ft/sec to produce finishes up to SSPC SP5 white metal, with a single conveyor-speed dial setting the surface cleanliness. It handles beams, channel, angle, tube and plate up to 40" tall by 20" wide and 500 lbs/ft, needing only in-feed and out-feed conveyors. A manganese-steel blast cabinet with replaceable liners, integrated abrasive recycling, an exit blow-off unit and a self-cleaning cartridge dust collector are included. The complete system fits in about 12 x 25 ft of floor space with 13 ft headroom, practical for small fabrication shops.
