The Bend-Tech Dragon A400 is a US-built CNC plasma cutting machine for round, square and rectangular tube and pipe, with an optional motorized gate for angle and channel. Material up to 400 lb and 24 ft long is held in a four-jaw self-centering chuck and front gate, driven along a rack-and-pinion X axis and rotated while a fixed toolhead cuts holes, saddles, copes and end profiles for weld-ready fit-up. A four-position automatic tool changer carries the plasma torch, a marker and an engraver, so bend locations, rotation marks, part numbers and text are placed on the tube in the same cycle, plus a laser pointer for alignment. Included Dragon CAD/CAM software imports STEP and IGES files or designs parts from scratch; coolant and dry-end supports are add-ons.
