The RoboRail is a compact robotic plasma cutting cell developed by HGG together with Automated Layout Technology for miscellaneous-metals fabricators working on stairs, rails, ladders and light structural work. A Staubli six-axis robot carrying a Hypertherm plasma torch cuts material to length and produces copes, notches, holes, slot holes and cut-outs, while a rotating chuck handles hollow sections such as handrail pipe and box tube. The same torch performs plasma layout marking, adding text and reference lines for fit-up so parts assemble without manual measuring. Jobs are loaded directly from DSTV or STEP files exported from SDS/2, Tekla, SolidWorks or Inventor, and each piece in a run can be different. The cell includes safety fencing, an outfeed for short parts, and an optional infeed table.
