The Ocean Clipper II, built for Ocean by Peddinghaus in the USA, is a compact CNC angle line that automates layout, punching and cut-to-length shearing of clip angles, bracing angles and flat bar. It processes angle from 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/8" up to 6" x 6" x 5/8" and flat bar from 2" x 1/4" up to 6" x 5/8" in any length. A patented two-punch-unit design with removable C-frame tool holders keeps the footprint small and the remnant near 9". The 75-ton punch cycles in under 2 seconds and the 100-ton double-cut shear in about 5 seconds. Parts import from Tekla, SDS/2, StruMIS and other DSTV software via Peddimat, or are entered at the machine. An optional scribing unit adds part marking for small to medium fabricators.
