The PeddiRotator is a pair of freestanding rotator stands that let fitters and welders turn beams, columns, tubes and complex weldments through a full 360 degrees without a crane or forklift. Each stand suspends the workpiece on a dual-link chain rated at 13,228 pounds, giving a combined capacity of about 13 tons across the two synchronized units, with material up to 60 inches wide. The stands are moved with a fork truck and can sit close together or as far apart as 50 feet to suit part length. Spring-loaded arms close as the piece is lowered in and open as it is lifted out, so loading by crane or forklift needs no manual latching. A handheld pendant controls direction and speed, and Peddinghaus claims turns roughly 20 times faster than a crane while improving welding posture and safety.
