50” Multi-Spindle Drill Line
The BDL-1250/9D is Peddinghaus's heavy-duty multi-spindle beam drill line, aimed at large structural fabricators who need to move 200-plus tons of steel through the shop each week. Three drill assemblies carry nine spindles in total, each powered by a 25 HP (18.5 kW) Siemens servo motor that runs from 145 to 1800 RPM, and they can work simultaneously or independently with different tool diameters, speeds and feeds. Beyond drilling, the spindles handle tapping, countersinking and 4-axis carbide scribing for layout marking on beams, channel, angle, tube and flat bar. Roller Feed measurement keeps material moving without stopping, a multi-point clamping system holds the workpiece rigid for carbide tooling, and optional break-through detection shortens cycle times. Raptor 3D CAD/CAM software programs the machine, and AccuMeasure allows tandem band saw integration.
