The DG-1250 is Peddinghaus's large double-miter structural band saw, designed to keep pace with a BDL-1250 or Advantage-2 drill line in tandem or to run standalone with AccuMeasure CNC measurement. Its twin-column frame and 7-degree blade attack angle suppress vibration for cut quality and blade life, and a 20 HP (14.5 kW) drive motor runs a 394 x 2.64 x 0.063 inch blade with automatic hydraulic tensioning. Straight cuts reach 49 x 20 inches, 45-degree miters 31 x 20 inches and 30-degree miters 21 x 20 inches, with the head mitering up to 60 degrees left and right by program or manual entry. Lift-and-kneel transport rollers raise material clear of the bed while it moves and shift with the head to support miter cuts. Speed Sawing technology, a laser line reference, Minimum Quantity Lubrication and an ergonomic control panel for speed and feed round out the saw, which weighs 14,660 pounds.
