Ocean Liberator

The Ocean Liberator, built for Ocean by Peddinghaus in South Carolina, is a single-torch five-axis robotic oxy-fuel coping machine for beams, channel, angle, plate and rectangular tube. The fully articulated torch cuts from any angle on any surface, producing copes, dog bones, blocked ends, rat holes, knife-plate slots, mechanical cut-outs, miter cuts and cut-to-length, with +/-45 degree bevels on flanges and webs. Because it uses oxy-fuel rather than plasma, material up to 6" thick is no obstacle and no dust-extraction enclosure is needed. It cuts at 7 to 30 in/min and positions at up to 400 in/min, with a handheld pendant for fine-tuning gap and speed. Parts import from Tekla, SDS/2, StruMIS, ProSteel and similar via Peddimat. The welded frame mates to Ocean Eliminator conveyors, typically 45 ft each side.
